Fragrant Ascension
An Ode to the Scent of the Beloved
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
Across the Desert plain under the Star-lit sky.
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
On a journey to forever define creation,
Where truth revealed itself and the measure was set for the very last time.
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
Let me breathe the Scent of Allah’s Light,
As I sit in rapture behind you on Buraq’s flight.
Clinging to your beloved mantle, rising toward Ursa, past the Pan Handle.
At your elegance the stars did cluster, clamouring for just a glimpse of the beloved luster,
A luster I would embrace – “That’s my Prophet!” I proudly stammer As we pierce through the Outer-Sphere.
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
Resplendent congregation requiring your lead,
Aqsa’s four corners awash with wisdom,
Be Patient trusty Steed,
For This congregation, only Mustapha ﷺ can lead.
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah ﷺ
and every breath I inhale
The fragrant layers of scent,
That makes Musk hang its head in shame,
Jasmine embarrassed to radiate and feign,
Roses, blossoms imitate and pale,
Frankincense attempt comparatively stale.
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah ﷺ Until we reach the gates of Sidrat al-Muntaha
But at every Heaven – “Who goes with you Gabrielle?”
Don’t you know? that’s Muhammad ﷺ The Perfect Seal !
Onward and duly bound,
The elixir of musk
That does only astound.
Layered with Your Light of love
And fragrant essence pure and profound
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah ﷺ to meet your lineage Ibrahim (AS) Musa (AS) & Isa (AS).
As your noble lineage sagaciously await,
to contemplate a gift 50 times profound,
Our Lord’s Excuse to allow your return
And shyly request clemency for your Ummah’s concern
Take me with you Ya RasullAllahﷺ
Take me with you Ya RasullAllah
From whose fragrance Paradises’ fragrance emerged.
What fragrance could encompass this heart filled with Allah’s Majesty?
And who’s eyes were filled with Allah’s Beauty, two bow lengths apart.
Let me recite blessings upon you of infinite light,
Perfumed with your name,
A fragrant name
that perfumed every world,
ﷺ
